Thom Browne x Yamashita Kukiji: “An Unconscious Escape”
Event Concept:
This is a Pop-Up event I created for the brand Thom Browne and the artist Yamashita Kukiji, inspired by the artwork Deification Of A Soldier. Surrealism is a reoccurring theme for both, which became the primary theme of this event.

Escape the Mundate Into Dreaming
Part I: Corporate Office
The first section of the pop up reflects a structured, monotonous office setting reflects routine, discipline, and conformity — mirroring the wearable, tailored pieces.
Part II: Stuck in a Dream
Visitors move into a distorted, surreal environment where proportions, textures, and silhouettes become exaggerated and avant-garde, representing psychological escape and transformation.
Performance Art Film: “Escape Meeting”
Bridging the two spaces is a performance art film, “Escape Meeting.”
The short theatrical dance tells the story of a mundane office worker who escapes through unconsciousness. As she transitions into another world, her suppressed mental state manifests physically, transforming her into a wild, untamed creature.
